Sundance and SXSW cult favorite CARNAGE PARK is another example of Ostinelli’s collaboration with Keating. The New York Times described the score as a "soundtrack alternating among ambient Lynchian strains and snatches of hard-core rock," and The Huffington Post proclaimed Ostinelli “an innovator with ‘surprise’ coded in his DNA." Carnage Park tells the story of two wannabe crooks fleeing an ill-conceived bank robbery scene in a desolate California town with a hostage and leading the local lawmen on a dangerous high-speed chase. Starring Ashley Bell (The Last Exorcism), Pat Healy (Cheap Thrills), Darby Stanchfield (Scandal), Alan Ruck (The Catch) and James Landry Hébert (Taken).

"Carnage Park’s score is full of unnerving dissonance, fueling the sense of dread. But for all the off-kilter instrumentation and recording techniques, Ostinelli always keeps a notion of harmony and melody underneath the surface”
The AV Club
"Enjoyably garish soundtrack and a muted palette that is practically devoid of colors to help capture a grindhouse feel”
The New York Times
"A beautifully disconcerting score courtesy of Giona Ostinelli”
"Nerve-jangling score by Giona Ostinelli”
"Keating’s given Carnage Park a really nice look, mimicking the gritty, grindhouse 16mm look of classics of the era. Even better is the giallo-style Italo-exploitation score by Giona Ostinelli"
"Giona Ostinelli’s Morricone-esque score adds to the overall vibe of retro-homage”
"The shrieky score by Giona Ostinelli sounds a little like Mica Levi’s work on “Under the Skin,” though its success is more in inducing sensation than in creating atmosphere”
"The Sepia color palette pairs perfectly with Keating’s shot selection and Giona Ostinelli’s score. Together, they manage to cover an especially impressive range between classic western heist flick and sheer nightmare”
"Carnage Park is a brutal masterpiece of tension and terror”
